Having grabbed the attention with its light-hearted ‘Funky Cat’ name Chinese brand GWM ORA has, in a surprising move, rebranded its small electric car as the 03 to bring it into line with other markets in which it operates. No matter, it’s still the same car. Just a little less … funky! Whatever it’s called the 03 remains a viable competitor for popular electric hatchbacks like the Vauxhall Corsa-e, Peugeot e-208, Renault Zoe and Nissan Leaf and offers both impressive range, generous standard equipment and a competitive price. In a competitive market it faces a tough battle but those cute looks are a good start, even if some of the finer details lack polish.
